FreeLance Ruckus is best described as a Southern U.S. Folk Alternative rock band with steady rhythms and the soul bending sounds of the Fender Telecaster that seem to wind their way into your brain to stay while pulling at your heart strings with doses of lyrical reality. Hailing as one of Georgia's finest and funnest bands, FLR always entertains a wide variety of audiences with a diverse selection of song and style.
Other than the many restaurants and clubs in the Middle Georgia area which include Amici (milledgeville, athens, and oconee), Wild Wing Café, the Hummingbird, Mellow Mushroom, Who Cares? Bar & No Grill, Jacksons, the Hangar, Fish&Pig, Buffingtons, CJ's, Shooters, Billy’s Clubhouse, Fowl Play, Twang, COX Capital Theatre, FreeLance Ruckus has been apart of many notable shows and festivals which include The “Big House” (Allman Brothers Museum) opening for the Still Water Reunion (May 2011) which included performances by Still Water and Wet Willie, The Museum of Arts and Sciences “Taste of the Tour” presented by Jr. League of Macon (April 2011), Macon Chamber of Commerce(May 2011), First Friday in Milledgeville twice, “Jimmy’s July Jam" in Sparta (July 2011 and 2013), Friday Fest In Macon (August 2011) ,The Opening Act presented by New Town Macon, and FLR performed on the main stage for the Milledgeville Deep Roots Festival (October 2011). The band also performed at the Sounds of the South Festival in Milledgeville (April 2012), Bragg Jam in Macon (July 2012), and has been featured on Q106.3's Homegrown and regularly gets airplay on Z97.7.
